Grade school teachers please answer! Im in college to become a teacher and i need to ask a few questions!?

My SDV class requires me to interview a teacher a full time teacher, however, all of the candidates for me to ask are either too busy to help or uninterested. More than anything, I would love to be a teacher and to finish this paper, I need insight from another. I live in the Northern Virginia/DC area, so answers from teachers in this region are particularly helpful. Anyway, here are the questions:

1)EDUCATOR INTERVIEW: Each student will interview a full-time teacher. Your interview should be designed for you to be able to obtain and report the following:
a.From what school and in what year did they graduate?
b.What was their major/degree?
c.How long did it take them to complete their degree?
d.How did they fund their education
e.What were their most enjoyable and least enjoyable classes?
f.What difficulties and/or obstacles did they encounter during their time as a student teacher?
g.What do they like the best/least about their career?
h.What subject(s)/Level do they teach?
i.How do they remain current on all of the research and developments in the field?
j.What kind of advice or direction would they give to current college students in teacher education programs?

Hi and thank you so much for answering my question. I was wondering, can u please go into a tad more detail. Do you have your masters or bachelor’s? Did you go to community college in Florida and did you do any teaching there? And who funds the professional training day? The county/school/teacher? Lastly, specifically what science class didnt you like. Or was it all? And what was so unorganized about it.

I’ve been doing retail for the last 9 years of my life looking to work for a more appealing company. I’ve been out of work for a year now b/c of panic attacks and depression. I’ve been going to a therapy every week for 4 months now. I haven’t had a panic attack in 1 1/2 month. Any advice?

Hello I start college in september and I am doing biology, chemisty, physics and psychology. Everybody is saying that we need IT otherwise we won’t be allowed to do our courses. Is this true? Because the deadline is wednesday and I haven’t finished:S But I feel almost certain I have passed all of my exams, except IT. But I don’t see why I need it to do sciences. However when I went for my college interview they told me what I need (c in english, B in maths) to do my courses they did not mention IT.

Can a college inteviewer ask what my sat scores are?

Yesterday I had an alumni interview w/ UPenn.
I have read that the inteviewer is not supposed to ask what my scores are b/c the admissions office already has that info. I thought the interview was so that the school can know me more personally.
By the way my sat score was a 1250(650 Math and 600 Reading)- not quite UPenn standards, but i think it may have affected my inteviewers perception about me throughout the interview b/c it was the second question he asked me.
How much impact does the interviewer have on the whole admission process?

Also I had the interview at his house in South Beach, but he was dressed in shorts and sandals and I was dressed w/ a tie.
Is it a good sign that I had the interview at his house or a bad sign that he was dressed a little unprofessional in my opinion.

FYI The interview was 15 minutes long….Good or bad thing?

Sixth Form College interview Monday, SO NERVOUS. SO many questions – help?!?

I’ve got an interview for sixth form college Monday. It’s only 10 minutes! The college is really over-subscribed. It’s one on it’s own too – not attached to a high school, but my school is one of the catchment ones. You need 6 Bs at GCSE, minimum, to get in. My mock results were: 2 As, 5 Bs and a C.

The C was in history, which I was meant to get an A in ;\, I dunno what happened. I’m taking English, Media, Business and ICT at A-Level.

What sort of questions will they ask me?? How should I sit? Should I do my top button up on my shirt, because we never normally do at school. Do I go for the handshake first?! I’M NERVOUS AS HELL :s:s:s:s

college interview in starbucks or panera?

one of my college interviews are scheduled in panera. the next one in starbucks (diff college obviously) so yea i m freaking out n i have a few questions

a) how do i recognise the person who is going to interview me?

b) do u eat or drink during the interview? is it ok if u have an empty coffee cup on the table when they come?

c) if u do eat/drink during the interview, who foots the bill.

Should I pay off bills with inheritance money, invest, save for my daughter’s college fund, or blow it?

I should be getting an inheritance this week sometime and it would be nice to pay off all our bills (Another question: do I share with my husband?), but most of what I read says to save or invest. What’s the point in investing or saving if you still have outstanding bills? Plus, if I pay off all the bills, then I should be at square one, except with great credit. This would allow a greater chance of getting a loan to buy a new home or whatever. Hmmmm.

when I enrolled there for the first time, Fall 2004, I decided my major was going to be Computer Science, because I was into computers a lot. Now, that I’ve been there for two 2 1/2 years I have decided that I want to change major…I want to be a pharmacist. I hear pharmacy schools are very competitive and usually takes you about 5-6 yrs to graduate. I also heard that you are interviewed before being admitted to a pharmacy school….what kind of questions are they going to ask me? Also, I have taken many undergraduate courses (ex: English, math, etc), I have almost completed them all, so now I should be taking the ones that will prepare me to transfer to a pharmacy school right?

How to effectively find job in chicago and suburbs being a college student?

I am in undergraduate, second year program. To find internships I need to still take more classes to get enough skills. I am in Computer Science program. There are of course jobs for students that only require basic skills and high school diploma.
Currently I am looking for position in area of data entry, sales/cashier, bank teller. Where else should I look? PC technician might be good for me too? But here I might need to get A+ to have chance. I have sent more than 20 applications (resume) via CareerBuilder, Monster, ERecruiting and Craiglist. So far its been about month and I did not get any call But once my friend called and told me they asked him many questions about me (from reference). I made couple times follow-up calls but did not get call for interview. I speak two languages. In addition to English that I speak on conversational level, I speak Polish very fluently. Can you suggest me some methods to have better luck in job hunting?
Regarding on-campus jobs, it is hard to find and there is no much positions in my school. And now is summer so there is nothing much there.

so i have an interview coming up for a college place and i need to bring a cv. I want to make mine stand out from all others so i was looking up samples on the net and on a few i found “career objectives” is that where you write what you hope to achieve from the course or is that for qualifications you have from college already?
