What kind of JAVA/C++ certification is the best for me? And how do I get it?

I m a frosh at university in Canada ,and My major is CS.
I had never learned any computer language before, and now I am aiming at learning Java and C++. And I think getting a certificate will help me in finding a co-op job.
But I don know anything about it.
So which certificates shall I get and how do I get it?

    if you want to take you java you need to get sun certification , for c++ certification you need to take Microsoft certification .

    First of all learn languages properly then go for any certification, because understanding the basic concepts is very necessary. First understand the basic concepts of programming step by step and then to certify your skills go for any basic programming certification.
