Teachers out there~Advice for becoming a teacher nowadays….?

I graduated with my B.S. in Mathematics last year, just happy to get my degree, but not really knowing what to do with it…I recently enrolled into a certification program that is also part of a Masters Degree in Education. My question is, How do you know if teaching is for you? I’ve heard so many negative and very little positive things about teaching. I would describe myself as some what shy, but very nice and patient with others. I just need some feedback before I spend all my time and money on certification to teach and then regret it. Honest answers appreciated, Thanks…
