420W was kinda weak these days, glad they changed it to 500W.

    Proc is good.

    MB is good.

I would ask how much the memory is configurable (can you add more)

    Storage is good

    Everything else is good.

I would say a good machine, I think I could build it for $1500 though.

I think you meant to say XP came out in ’01. I don’t know if Vista is worth it, Microsoft takes a while to work out the bugs. I would wait until they come out with a Service Pack before buying Vista.

sounds alittle hi to me but then i would build it myself … if thats just for the box i would say ok but i would want 2 graphics cards for that price and about a 700 watt psu … and u can get a laptop from sager with specs better than that WITH a 7950gtx card for about the same money …. thats what i just bought …

As for the configuration, I think it is pretty good. Price isn’t too bad. Depends on what the warranty is. Are you getting a full year of warranty or just 90 days? Also, what are you using for a monitor? I don’t see that listed in. If you are spending the big dollars for that graphics card, you might as well pony up the bucks for a nice digital LCD monitor. Finally, while the extra network adapter is nice I don’t know that the extra performance boost is really worth the money. Maybe you are doing enough to drive the card but who knows. That motherboard has a decent network card integrated.

Great computer, decent processor, good video card, but the price is a killer. You can build a computer that’s a lot better than this one for maybe $500 less. Still, if you don’t trust yourself with putting a computer together, this is fine. When DirectX10 games come around, you’ll have to upgrade your video card to either the nvidia 8800 series or the ati hd 2xxx series

I think this is a good computer and it is suitable for gamers and graphic design..the operating software is not so important because xp and vista is almost the same in term of usage..but if you like better appearance on your desktop, then you can use vista..
